Faces of Apocalypse: The End(s) of the World

The Apocalypse has many interpretations. In the context of religion, apocalypse is the revelation or disclosure of something hidden. In the Norse mythology, it is close to the Ragnarok which is the doom of gods and humans but more on the doom of humans later on. Today, in our modern times, it is a term that refers to as the end of our times or the end of the world we live in. While this necessarily involves blowing up the world into smithereens wherein any pre-need companies in the Philippines or anywhere in the world can’t save you or prevent it from taking place, it still revolves around in the concept of the present world seizing to operate.

This has become some of the most used concept and plot in most movies and TV series today. The Walking Dead TV series, for example, takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting wherein the dead comes back to life and mindlessly attacks other people for some reason that hasn’t been unfolded yet. Some of the most cliché ends of the world plot involve visitors from outer space attacking us. In Bethesda’s best-selling game series, Fallout, a nuclear breakdown has caused people to run to underground shelters.

It is just crazy to think that while some people are planning their future and making sure that everything is taken care of by taking advantage of plans that are offered by pre-need companies, there are still things that can really blow things out of proportion. Well, literally. Let us look up some of the famous theories on how the civilization will seize to function.

Mayan Apocalypse

According to the Mayan calendar, the world should have ended a few years ago where an asteroid or some other interplanetary matter would make contact to the surface of the earth and wipe the population. This has been a theme of some movie like 2012 and Armageddon.

Blood Moon Prophecy

Mark Blitz, a Christian Minister has once predicted that the end of the world will happen with the second coming of Jesus Christ like how it is stated in the Book of Revelations in the Bible. This theory involves tetrad or a set of four total lunar eclipses appearing within two years. According to the blood moon prophecy, the judgment should have occurred last 2013.

There are many viral videos circulating on YouTube about the End Time Prophecies. A certain video has predicted that the world should have ended last July 2016 with the Earth going through a “polar flip” that will cause the crust to collapse.

The Desolation

In mainstream Orthodox Judaism, it is predicted that the Messiah will come within 6000 years from the creation of Adam, and the world could possibly be destroyed 1000 years later. This would put the beginning of the period of desolation in the year 2239 and the end of the period of desolation in the year 3239.

While most of these theories still stand as theories with specific field backing up the claims, we cannot take away the fact that it contains interesting details that are nearly believable in some sense. But whatever the possibility of these theories, it is still better to be prepared to certain dangers that one may experience. So go ahead and make inquiries on how you can take advantage of pre-need companies in the Philippines and how it can help you.
